Meet your therapist
Avery Bell, LCPC
I believe therapy works best when you feel understood, accepted, and respected. I strive to be both direct and compassionate, creating space for honest exploration of your thoughts, patterns, and motivations so that you can approach challenges in new and helpful ways.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a natural fit for this approach and is well-supported by research for many common mental health concerns. In addition to CBT, I have training and experience in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and the Gottman Method for couples therapy. When helpful and relevant, I also enjoy incorporating educational and philosophical perspectives into our work together.
For therapy to be effective, it is guided by your goals. My aim is to help you develop a deeper understanding of yourself while building practical tools that support meaningful and lasting change.
